Pula Wedding Photographer | Cathedral of St Mary & Ribarska Koliba Wedding

This wedding in Pula was a true reflection of the couple’s story, personal and connected to the place they call home. The day began in the heart of the old town at the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, known locally as the Cathedral of St. Mary. Originally built in the 6th century and rebuilt over time, it remains one of the most important sacred landmarks in Pula. The ceremony was intimate and emotional, surrounded by close family and friends.

The groom is a sculptor, and it was important to include his work in his portraits. We photographed him in his studio, surrounded by his sculptures and materials. The space felt raw and honest, giving context to who he is beyond the wedding day. Including his artwork added depth to the story and made the portraits more personal and meaningful.

The couple portraits by the water were simple and focused on connection. Nothing was staged or overcomplicated. Just the two of them, present in the moment.

Dinner and celebration continued at Ribarska Koliba, one of the most well-known seaside restaurants in the area. Located right by the marina, Ribarska Koliba has a long tradition dating back to 1911 and is known for its seafood and refined Mediterranean cuisine. The terrace overlooking the Adriatic created a relaxed but elegant setting for the evening. Guests enjoyed local specialties, good wine, and a warm atmosphere as the sun set over the boats in the harbor.

This wedding in Pula was a blend of history, art, and the sea. From the cathedral ceremony to the sculptor’s studio and the dinner by the water, every part of the day felt connected to their lives and their city.
